Best choice
Believe it or not, I ordered three versions of this strainer from different manufacturers. I knew from experience that they tend to be cheap and poorly designed, so I wanted to see which was the least poorly made. This one is the best. The post is made of plastic, of course, but unlike the others it remains in the open position when set, and blocks the drain well. I'm buying a few more because it will wear out sooner than later.

light weight
Light weight; it's easy to bump it by accident when it's closed and water drains out. Hard to open and close. If you don't get the stopper at exactly the right height, the collar in which the stopper is seated turns with the stopper. I find it easier to lift the basket out and hold the bottom while turning the top to open it. Apart from that, it works fine, and seems to seal adequately.
Didn't fit my sink
Unfortunately, it did not fit and keep the water from draining out of the sink. I had hoped it would fit well.
