It's designed for 8-inch or 16-inch centers, has a stationary spout with a 5-1/8-inch reach, and provides flexible connections. This faucet meets WaterSense criteria to conserve water without sacrificing performance, and it is also ADA compliant.
WaterSense Labeled Faucet
WaterSense is a program sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to promote water efficiency (it is similar in nature to the EPA's Energy Star program). The Bold LIE of Kohler - BEWARE - Inferior materials and workmanship for high prices.
I purchased both the Fairfax and the Forte models of Kohler bathroom faucets.
Half way through my fixture replacement process, I removed these from their packaging and couldn't believe what I was seeing. This is not a solid metal faucet. It is a hollow faucet shaped body made of two snapped together pieces of thin, stamped, chrome plated metal with a cheap copper-like tube running inside the body to carry the water.
You can't tell this when they are mounted up on the wall at the store. I was appalled. I had thought that for a hundred and fifty dollars I'd at least be getting something made out of solid metal, especially since it is manufactured with cheap Chinese labor.
The aerator is screwed into this cheap inner tube and was difficult to remove. It required continual turning with a wrench until it was completely off. Upon reinstalling the aerator, with hardly any tightening force, the inner tube bent and the aerator then sat crooked inside the cheap body/housing...

Classy Look
I put this faucet in both of my bathrooms after having the same ones for almost 20 years. They made a world of improvement and look absolutely classy in the bathroom. The only complaint is that it is hard to keep water marks of of them.
Really Classy Faucet
I bought one of these in the brushed nickel for the hall bathroom and liked it so much I ordered two more for the master bath double sinks. They came with everything need to install and my husband installed them with no real problems. I have heard some complaints that the flow is too wide or spurts out unevenly on this faucet. That was so on one of the faucets we bought, but with a little jiggling of the aerator my husband got it flowing beautifully and the others worked perfectly from the start. The handles turn very easily and smoothly, a feature I really like. The faucet seems very heavy duty and we are very pleased with the quality and appearance of the finish although, being brushed nickel, it does take some care to keep the water spots wiped off. The design is perfect for us. Our bathroom is a relaxed contemporary but not way out modern. I would think this would work well in a transitional bath also.
