Terrific Buy
Finally found this product to replace the "Big Box" store utility sink faucet which leaked from the get go! This is a substantial piece of hardware; nothing cheap about it! I expect to get years of maintenance free use; can't recommend highly enough.

GREAT American Standard Quality!
This IS a quality American Standard faucet! It's all metal and looks great.
I checked out some of the private labeled competitive faucets at the Big Box stores, which are offered here on Amazon. They are plastic and I wouldn't trust them to last. With products like this the installation is the major project. I wouldn't want to have to replace it in short time. It's worth it to me to spend the extra $10-$20 to get the real deal. American Standard is still the real deal.
I wanted lever handles to make turning them easier, but it turns that isn't as important a feature when the faucet has the quality cartridge valves that go from full off to full flow in a quarter turn. The valves operate smoothly, surely and with nary a drip. I expect I won't be needing to service the valves in this decade.
To answer the questions, this model has a spout with hose threads. American Standard makes versions with an aerator and several choice of spout shapes...
excellent product
This is my second faucet (that I am keeping) from Amazon.com. I bought the first one a while back and had to exchange it because the bottom plastic plate was all bent out of shape. After installation of the exchanged one, it worked without any problem. I replaced my old faucet because I was dripping water all around faucet in the process of turning the round knobs. It was the handles on this model that attracted me. Not only are the handles easier to turn (on and off), but you do not end up with water all over your faucet. I have one more utility sink and I will replace its faucet with this one as well. Highly recommended.
